Bênçãos
Olaaaa! Tudo beeeeem? OK this week, I don't have a lot to tell, but what I have is super cool! #1 Denzel was baptized!!! It is kind of a joke between missionaries that something always goes wrong while preparing for a baptism. But for us, everything went remarkably smooth! He was there early, Bishop couldn't come but the Elders Quorum President was there, an irmã brought food for after, there was a good turn out and the meeting was beautiful! The only problem was that I was sick and right before the baptism started I was in the bathroom puking my guts out! Lol! It was pretty funny actually! But besides that it was great and I still sang a musical number! Denzel was so happy! And the next day after his confirmation he was glowing! He is excited to go to institute this week, and he already has an interview with Bishop to get the priesthood! I am so proud of him!
#2 Transfers!! Sister Allred is leaving, but we have known that for a while. I will be staying and serving with a sister named Sister Darnell! I know her from when we served in the same zone when I was in Leiria and she is so cute! I have heard she is very positive, energetic and funny, so I am excited to work with her!
#3 this last one is a little sad, but also really happy. We have a new mission Presidente.... But just for a little while. Presidente Fillmore has been struggling with back problems and had been planning to just stick it out until he went home to get surgery. But finally, he and the Area President decided it would be best if he went back to the states to get the surgery. He will be gone for about a transfer. In the meantime, Élder Marriot and Sister Marriot (remember Neill F Marriot of the general Young Woman's?) will be our mission Presidente and wife. They have been serving here in Portugal as a senior couple, so they already know our mission and many of us well. It is sad, we will miss Presidente Fillmore. But it is happy too that he is getting the help he needs! Health is so important! We cannot run faster than we have strength and God doesn't expect us to. He expects us to take care of our bodies and do what we can.
This was a good week of growing and learning for me! I know that God lives and he loves us! He is so merciful and patient and he wants us to be successful! He only wants us to do our best, and our best will be different every day and will be different for every person! Read the book of Mormon! It is a true book!
Keep your eyes up.
Sister Hardy
