My Town - Monroe

Monday's are still my P-day which is awesome! Ok. Take a deep breath, take your vitamin pills, and buckle up! I may not use very much punctuation, we'll see, it will also be very out of order, so sorry. I'm in Michigan!!!!! So our journey to the airport and the flight were pretty uneventful, I met the other greenies going to Detroit and they are all super nice! Though I probably won't see any of them very much! Once we landed in Detroit we all piled out and went to get our bags from the baggage claim, and there was no one in sight! We were all huddled in a corner trying to figure out what to do, when President Cleveland walked around the corner with two elders who had gone to try and find him! There was some hubbub after that because their truck had broken down and the cops were sitting right next to them so they couldn't leave their car, plus everyone else had been told to pack an overnight bag, but since I was a transfer I didn't get the memo, so...

Ola minha familia!

Ola minha familia! Do I have some exciting news!! So I don't have my visa, none of us Portugal missionaries do, and we probably won't until December, so we have all been reassigned. I might need a better pair of winter boots though, I will see what I can find when I get there! I am the only Portugal called missionary going to Detroit, everyone else is going out in gr...

Ola!   Thank you so much for the update on everyone! I love and miss you all so much! You are constantly in my heart and prayers!   Our mailing address is to unit 211, not 75! I forgot to tell you sorry! I got the package though and Loved it! The cookies were delicious! and the Markers were hilarious and I love them! All of our markers actually were "stolen" by other classrooms so I have been really grateful to have some I can keep in my bag! The Lisbon temple should be finished while I am there, it is supposed to be finished next December I think, and all the missionary's will probably be involved! I would love to be a part of that! Batismo may be what we are focused on as missionaries, but the temple is the real end goal!   We are teaching a woman named Florence right now (she is really just one of our teachers, but she is a great actor!) and we invited her to baptized during the second lesson and she said she would once she understand...
