Muito de Milagres!

Ok, I am not sure where to start for this week... The work has been super slow since I got here to Southfield, but recently that's been changing! Oh the miracles we are beginning to see! We had exchanges this week and I was left in Southfield with the STL Sister Bretz. I was really nervous that i wouldnt know the area well enough and embarrased we didnt have any appointments set up. But miracles happen when you change things up a bit! We did a little finding and we changed actually nothing about how we worked and what we say, but we found so many potentials and set up so many appointments! I don't think sister Burt and I were doing anything wrong before,   I think God just wanted us to be humble so he could show us his miracles. On the topic, this week I was reading in my Portuguese Book of Mormon in Ether 12. Verses 8 and 9 read "8   But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that...

Michigan? I thought this was paradise.

I am so grateful every week to hear that everyone is doing well! The pictures you sent wouldn't open on my phone, so maybe try again? (Ps I got a phone btw, they have me a loaner phone to use until I leave! It is pretty useless since I don't have Wi-Fi except at the church, but it has been nice to have the Gospel library app to use! And we can type out emails out simultaneously!) We are pretty close to the city! We are going to try to go down to the auto show today and we want to go down   again next week to do all the cool Detroit things! I did give a talk on Sunday, it was on personal and companion study and how it has made me a better missionary and disciple. It went well, and they must love getting me up in front of the ward because I said the closing prayer this sunday! Yes, I agree mom, free up some time for yourself and to sleep! Even missionaries who are literally consecrating all their time and energy to the Lord get 8 hours of sleep and a preparation day...

Bringing hope to the (almost) hood

Heyo everyone! What goin on!? I hit my 3 months this week! Huge milestone right! My companion hit her 1 year mark too so i told her we could celebrate that too if she wanted. 😉 so we bought these cute tiny little martinellis at the dollar store. We put them in the freezer so they would be cold for lunch, but we totally forgot about them until we got home that night at 9! We opened the freezer and one of them had exploded! Boy was i grateful for last weeks fridge experience, it was a breeze to clean up in comparison and it was so funny! We managed to salvage some of the actual drink and it made a nice little martinelli slushie which was surprisingly good! We took some cute pictures, cleaned the now very sticky kitchen (the other bottle didn't explode but when we opened it it was bubbling over for probably a solid 30 minutes and we tried to keep it contained, but there was only so much we could do!) And it was so fun! Earlier that day we met a really cool lady in CVS and t...

Olá minha familia!  So, transfers were this week and we stayed up late waiting for the call and Elder Amoah (our DL) finally called us! He started out my saying we were staying in a trio and we were so excited to be staying together, but then after a little pause he said, but Sister Hardy is leaving. It was a crazy moment. Little ol' me, a visa waiter and in training, being transfered away from her trainer and her baby area! It was the last thing we expected. But I got all packed up and on thursday we headed to transfers! My new backup trainer is Sister Burt and she is so awesome! Our area is Southfield east and its about as close to Detrout as sisters are allowed to get. Our area goes all the way down to famous 8 mile. I have yet to get a picture of me doing to gang sign, but i will before I leave! It was really hard to leave all the awesome people we were working with in Monroe, it was especially hard to say goodbye yo Dwight. But i for some reason feel the happiest...
