Olá! Como vocês estão? Estou MUITO BEM!! Do i have done things to share this week! We are working with some amazing people and seeing incredible miracles. One of the coolest experiences so far on my mission occured last Monday night. We were on a train on the way to a members house for dinner and sister Hoffman really felt we needed to go sit down and talk to someone. So we went and sat my this girl. She ended up being an atheist and didn't want anything. The whole time we were talking to her forever the man across the aisle was staring at us intently. I had a feeling that he was really the person we were testifying to at that moment. I was hoping to stop him when we got to our stop, but he got up and left, and I thought it was too late. We got off soon after and were answering some messages when the man comes up to us and says. "I would like a book of mormon and to learn more about what it is." We were like, "uh... ok!" It was so cool! He is really re...

Olá freinds and family!!! This week was awesome! We saw some setbacks in the work last week, but this week the lord has blessed us like CRAZY! This weekend the ward put on a Churrasco which is a brazilian style barbeque (honestly so good!). There was really good food, music, dancing, karaoke, it was a blast! Some of the older women dragged sister Hoffman and i up to sing Mamma Mia with them, and it was so fun! The churrasco alsi turned out to be a great tool in the work! We invited everyone we talked to or taught, and we had 6 friends there! the members of the branch were so great at befriending them too! We met these two brothers Custodio e Daniel while passing by another potential and they are so cool! They arrived here from Brazil just over a week ago, but it had only been 2 days when we met them. They are very interested! They came to the churrasco and ended up being recruited to cook the meat and they made a lot of friends and then they came to church the next day and ...

The Blessings of the Temple

This weekend our branch, after months of planning and preparing, had the opportunity to take a trip to the Spain Madrid temple. They had to leave friday night and drive all through the night to get there Saturday morning and stay all day at the temple and drive back that night in order to get home just in time to come to church. In that sacrament meeting, everyone was utterly exhausted, but every single person in that room who had gone to the temple had a glow of peace and joy. It was a testimony meeting this week, and as everyone bore their testimony of the temple and eternal families, the spirit filled the room. I am so grateful for temples. Even though I was not able to go with them, they brought tbe spirit of the temple back to Barreiro. I know that the temple is the house of the Lord here on earth, and within its walls I feel peacefup and safe, at one with the Lord. It is so amazing to know that soon there will be a temple here in Portugal! Sister Hoffman and I have been...

The. bread. in. portugal. is. AMAZING. That is why I titled my email this way. Of all the places I have been in the world, no where have I tasted bread like this. I wouldn´t die for it, because then I wouldn´t get to eat it, but I would probably kill for it. Jk. But seriously. There are also these little pastries you can buy pretty much anywhere for like 50 centos called pastel de Natas. They are incredible. They are so cheap, but I just might be broke by the end of my mission. Broke and out of shape. That is my into for today. I think I am going to format my emails, (1) something about living in europe, (2) the work (3) spiritual thought. Since we are now allowed to talk to our families every week the church instructed us that our emails home should not be in any way like a travel log or a journal and should focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ and our testimonies, which I think is super cool! But I am living in a foreign country, so I am going to sneak some of those tidbits ...
