Eu gosto de ver o Templo.

Ola family! I hope everyone is doing well! I don't have a ton to share from this week, we did the same thing every day, but it was a wonderful week! We spent the whole week in Lisbon at the temple open house! Us sisters stayed in the capela and when groups came in we would give them some instructions and then show a brief video about temples and send them off! Then we would stand there and wait for another group! It was really chill, especially during the week when there wasn't really a constant flow of visitors, we spent a lot of time waiting and some people even got to go through the temple in little groups of 2 or 3! Lucky them! We watched that video about a billion times and had parts of it memorized even! We did get to watch it in a few different languages though which was really cool! Personally I watched it in Portuguese (obvs), spanish, german, italian, french, and mandarin! Though the itialian one we didn't watch with a group, we just watched it as we were waiting for groups to come lol. We also got to take turns being in the reception room where everyone went after the tour! We talked to a lot of people and got to ask why they decided to come to the temple, what their favorite part was and answer any questions they had! There were obviously a lot of members, but it was also really cool to see how many people were just invited or live nearby and were curious or saw it on facebook and decided to check it out! The temple is such a huge milestone for the church here in Portugal, and I feel like it will be a stepping stone as well for the growth of the church here in Portugal! I know the temple is the house of the Lord. One woman asked me why the temple was so fancy when Christ led such a simple life and taught us to do the same. I told her that in the scriptures we are promised that if we keep the commandments God will prosper us in the land. We still try to lead simple lives, but when it comes to building a house for the Lord, we give our all. We give everything. Because it is for Him. I know that as we take time to go to the temple we will be blessed and our families will be blessed too!
Two stories. During our week at the temple, one of our investigators came to see the temple! We got to go through with him and he loved it! It was so so cool to be there with him and hear how much he loved it, it was amazing to be in the temple with our friend.
The other is that on Saturday we weren't working, so we went through again with some people from our ward and then we ran over to benfica to pick up sister Crowders other suitcase (long story...) it is huge and super heavy, but just by chance, some of the office elders were headed over to the temple too so they gave us a ride! Once we got there, a member from our ward was just about to leave and drive back to our area and offered us a ride! So we got sister Crowders giant bag from benfica to Leiria only having to drag it a little while, and for free! And the drive is about twice as fast when you don't take the bus! It was a miracle. And sister crowder had some clothes in that suitcase she didn't want so I hit the jackpot lol. Ok we are back in our area now, so I will catch you next week!
