Cookie Monster
This week we decided we wanted to make cookies. Good old American chocolate chip cookies. (here they call them bolaches americana, literally American cookies, and everyone knows you are talking about chocolate chip.) so we bought all the stuff, or as close as we could manage to the same stuff, and we made cookies and they turned out..... Not great. We forgot The dough was very liquid, so the cookies turned out flat, but we figured out that if you microwave it they will turn into almost a cake so we just make ourselves mini microwave cakes. They were actually pretty good! We tried again for district cousil and they turned out better, but still not great. Then finally we decided to make peanut butter cookies and they turned out awesome! We were planning to give them to a friend of ours and so we didn't end up eating any, we burnt the first batch though so we got to eat those! After that we both were sugared out and I don't want to see another cookie for at least a month. But it was a lot of fun! Our kitchen was a straight up mess for a couple days lol.
I don't have a lot to say about this week. We are working really hard on the area book stuff. Calling a ton of people and stopping by a lot of people. One of the side affects is that we have a billion appointments every day, but most of them fall through because they were with people we called to see if they still had interest and they were too nice to tell us they didn't so we marked an appointment and then they weren't there or canceled. It is a lot of fun going through the books and talking to a lot of people and we have met some really cool people because of it too! I am excited to finish though because then we will have more time to spend on the people we already have! But that was our week.
We had a really cool lesson this week with a young man named Silva, he is really cool and speaks English and portuguese and its funny because we will teach in portuguese and he answers in English, but then if we or he forget a word we can just say it in the other language! We taught him the plan of salvation and it was very powerful. At the end there was a moment of silence and he was just looking at the plan that we had layed out on the table. Finally we ask him if he has any thoughts or questions. He just says "I have no words. It is beautiful." it was a cool moment. The plan that God created for us is truly beautiful and perfect and merciful, a plan of happiness! I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of my purpose and potential as a daughter of God, and infinitely grateful for the opportunity to share that knowledge with others.
So I took almost 0 pictures this week, I am so sorry. I will send what I have...

-Celina gave us plants! They are super cool because they don't need anything to live! I have gained a lot of plants on my mission, and they have all died, so I hope this one won't!
-I learned how to put my hair up with a pencil
